116 Central Park South
In 1962, the Park House was built originally intended to be an apartment building. It was eventually converted to the condominium that it is in 1988. It is distinguished by its beautiful modern lobby with vaulted ceilings. The design is unusually beautiful, with the lobby set-back from the building line and alternating inset balcony. The structure itself is made of gray-brick and is designed like an Italian Renaissance Palace style which easily stands out among the other modern building beside it. The Park House is also noticeable among a strip of buildings beside it because of its narrowness. It boasts of a great location near some of the most elegant dining and shopping areas in New York. The view from the condominium units is impeccable – with the Central Park and a beautiful skyline, especially at night.
